PM: nerds

i'm barely capable of operating in a digital world so by all means take the piss but if you do, make sure you pay it forwards with a tenable solution to my dilemma thank you. i somehow contrived to have put myself a continuous loop of doom that goes like this:

for some reason my "homepage" has decided upon itself to f**k google right off and now defects direct to the nato nspa e-portal. which would be handy if i was on it every day but i'm not. so i have tried clicking on the three dots at the top of the browser and going in to "settings" then "default browser" but it's already set to "google" so thats not helping.

wtf am i doing wrong? (not in general, that would take an entire day to cover, just in the incorrect not google homepage instance).

n.b. if i open a new tab it works fine i.e. goes straight to google but if i click on the little house icon 🏠 (homepage) on the top left it defects to the wrong page.
