Clearly targetted at getting back up again season after next, that signing. He wouldn't start for one Prem team last term including the three who came down.

The strategy - build a team to storm the champs in two years' time, and give that squad a go in the prem and see if you get lucky - isn't actually a bad one and might well be the only strategy available to a club who's not been up for a couple of decades.

That's an awful lot of money for someone who at best is a decent champs player though. Great bit of business by Chelski.

I'm much more interested, though, in who walks through our doors. Cordoba seems really good from what little I've seen/read but I'd expect a fair few more by August.
