Wasn’t a fluke because she was brilliant and didn’t lose a set throughout qualifying or the main draw which is basically insane. Was fortunate not to face a top 10 player but not her fault

This was before she was even a tour player and playing regularly which led to lots of injuries. Plenty of 1 slam wonders, whether that’s winning it or going deep. Her opponent in that final hasn’t done too much since and is ranked 30th.

She has said she’s only just got her love for tennis back and this week finally won a set and a match against a top 10 opponent so maybe she can still come back. The ‘experts’ have been backing her but I have my doubts.
