I think Wharton would have had a similar effect but I thought we had a lot more energy after that, started to win the ball back further up the pitch and generally moved it faster and we looked a lot better.

Palmer did well also but think he should have left Foden on. He was doing quite well. Bellingham had another poor game.

What is frustrating is that it is taking Southgate so long to make changes that every single England fan can see need to be made and has been able to see all tournament. There was no hindsight needed to conclude that just changing Gallagher for TAA would not improve us enough or help with our “on the ball” play. Literally everyone coujd see that except Southgate.
