But I think it's also true that the press go in very hard in other countries and I genuinely don't think this has been the case here.

I really cannot see what the players could have expected pundits to say after that shower of s**t on Thursday - as if they presume they deserve some kind of respectdul omerta from anyone who used to play the game.
