I do wish you’d use the correct name for the Republic of Ireland. It’s quite

condescending and somewhat ignorant to insist on using its Irish name in English. The rule is even set down in the Irish constitution, although some condescending Brits did refuse to acknowledge that for decades but I thought that practice would have long died out by now.

And also, I’ve never in my life met a “Celtic banger” who supports Ireland over Scotland. Unless they’re actually Irish. I’m sure it’s possible but I do not think at all common.
