Any Scottish Football Experts On Here - A Question....?

Yes I know Scottish and the word Football are a potential contradiction in terms....

The rivalry between Celtic and Rangers supporters (for football and non football reasons) is legendary. Do they just put all that aside when they follow Scotland abroad? On the videos of their fans in Germany they do seem united - and it has to be said q impressive - in their support for the country. Anyone know?
