He's fallen in to the trap of trying to get as many of the best players in to the team

Rather than deciding how we are most effective and playing the players to achieve that.

it also doesn't help we have a bit of a lull on LB's at the minute. Some promise coming through but no obvious back up for Shaw.
What ever solution he tried there was going to be a gamble, but with hindsight its going to look like he picked the wrong one.
