Would sort of agree with that, although

big gap between Southgate and Eriksson who really should have done better with that squad (he actually had a strong defence too unlike Southgate).

Sir Alf only gets top spot because we cannot argue with his World Cup win. I think Southgate is equal if not ahead of him on everything other than that already, and winning a tournament is so much more difficult these days (and no, it's never been easy).
