to have lost to Romania, f**ked up the group stage, and ended up on a path of Argentina, Holland and Brazil before the final. These things matter.

Similar in 2010. Finished behind the USA for f**ks sake and had Germany next; then would have been Argentina and Spain before the final.

If we had won a group including Slovenia, USA and Algeria, we would have played Ghana next then Uruguay in the semis.

These things matter.
