I still think a CM is the part of the jigsaw that transforms everything

Someone that can receive the ball on the half turn and potentially go forward, rather than the ball always going back to the CMs.

Skipp did this for us. He was awesome. Made our defenders look much better at playing out from the back than McLean does, for example. Not knocking Kenny.
