We know what doesn't work.

When promoted loading your team with mercenary types you overpay for who are just looking to play in the PL and be in the shop window.
With so few points needed to stay up the style which has the best chance is probably the hoots type style of keeping it tight trying to nick something.
The gulf between the Champs and PL is not management quality but player quality.
When you have nearly all the non promoted teams spending vast sums (including overspending vast sums) it's really tough to compete.
We need a few of these clubs to get relegated and suffer huge financial hardship for this to stop.
Docking a few points clearly doesn't work.
