Process

If you are 'scouring' Europe and settle on two or three you like, with one as a priority, it suggests a best practise approach to ensure a suitable appointment.

If you appoint the guy that's just been sacked by another EPL club (and who wasn't available at the point you dismissed your manager), or appoint they guy who you previously appointed somewhere else, that looks a lot less like the right kind of process.

It's a gamble of course, but there's never any certainty about managers.
