He wasn't being blamed for NCFC's failings.
I think he'd perhaps been harshly judged as not being good enough, and if he'd complained about that then fair enough.
However, I don't think his Celtic performances have really been night and day compared to his time here. His touch often looks poor, he often makes incorrect decisions and he's scored some important goals. Common themes between his time there and his time here.
A move is best for all parties, that's probably been true for two or three seasons.
