I think partly it's because the Ipswich team really isn't seen as a team of stars

A lot of the headlines when we went up were around the impact of Pukki and Buendia, and how we'd snapped up these incredible players for peanuts.

The view of Ipswich is that McKenna has galvanised this squad of relatively average players into a team that has racked up 96 points; that their strength has come, not from a Buendia like genius feeding a prolific goalscorer like Pukki, but from the ability of a coach to bring together this squad of decent players and turn them into the second best team in the Championship in the absence of any player that the EPL obsessed journos have any interest in.
