cos he's proven he can take an average-to-below-average squad and do brilliantly in the chumps with it but the Prem is a whole different matter - it's almost a different game entirely - and from a big(ger) club perspective surely better he learns the inevitable lessons he'll need to on someone else's dime.
And not to take scum's side in anything but it would be a s**tty thing to do to them frankly. They took a chance on him and invested in him and he should feel at least some loyalty to them, though I know that's too rarely how the modern game works.
His agent has done a brilliant job cos that £5m/yr for four years is a £20m payday whatever happens next - I reckon the agent has started all this paper talk to pressure their board and they've caved (quite understandably, he's easily the most important person at that club). Know when you've won and take the money, is what he should do, in my oh so humble.
