The whole point of youth development at a club like Norwich is a numbers game.
You would rather produce that 1 or 2 players per season who make it to the first team then produce winning youth teams.
Most youth players won't make it, that's a fact.
The claim is the best players came in early but in reality they probably know who is going to make it and spend extra resources on those players in terms of one on one coaching.
Academy success should be judged purely on its ability to produce and grow individual young talent into first team footballers.
Winning meaningless youth team games doesn't help NCFC, producing valuable talent does.
