Remember when he was the coming thing? Took us up 2 leagues in successive seasons, kept us in the Prem the third year…. I recall he was linked with a few ‘bigger’ clubs (and now says he wished he’d gone after the Prem promotion). It’s inevitable that sort of success will attract other clubs…

He finally got his bigger club, and then look how well that went. Now he’s just a very naughty boy… It’ll be very flattering for McKenna, but he seems more plugged in to the Ipswich project than the increasingly restless Lambert did to us. Think it would take a lot to lure him away - and be a big risk all round
