He got limited opportunities but when he did get a chance

He looked off the pace, his control was non existent and he appeared to lack confidence.
He always reminded me of the tall gangly kid at school who would very reluctantly play football because he had to in games.
If you are angry at not getting played there is only one thing you can do - give it everything when you do get on and run around like a lunatic to try and make an impression.
I didn’t see that in him.
