Press Conference 🎙🔜
-------------------------

DW on Barnes: “Medial ligament damage. No surgery, but we will miss him for a few weeks. He won’t be available until the November international break.”

DW on Barnes injury: “We have players who can back this area up. Liam (Gibbs) and Nacho (Nunez) can play this position.”

DW on Sargent: “He had his stitches out this week and everything is good. He can start his rehabilitation now.”

DW On Núñez: "The boot comes off beginning of next week, before the October international break would be quite tight. After the international break, we will have to see."

DW on Sainz: “It was a step on his pre-season, if we can call it that. He will play another 45-minutes against Everton U21s tonight. He will then get minutes against Fulham next week. We must be sensible with him."

DW on Lungi: “Yes, Fulham is too soon for him. He has lots to catch up on and he still isn’t pain free. He needs some further weeks until he is in contention.”

DW on Liam Gibbs: “As I said, do I like and love this situation, no. Am I concerned? No. Gabby (Sara) and Nacho (Nunez) can be pushed forward now that Forshy (Forshaw) is available.”

DW on Ui-Jo: "His touches, his movement are interesting. We will have to work with him on how we like to play a little bit more."

DW on Adam Idah: “We have seen a step up in his confidence in the past games after his goal for Ireland against the Netherlands. He should only continue doing what he has done, as he progresses on the journey he has started.”

DW on On injuries: "We'll stick to our idea and how we like to approach the games. This is what the team does well, everyone knows what to do in certain situations. They know what they have to do."

DW reflection on Leicester: “First half they were better and second half we were better. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a point or even more out of this game against a quality side. We’ve quickly forgotten about this game and focus is now on Plymouth.”

DW on Plymouth: “If you judge them on the Bristol game then that is the first mistake. We have learnt our lesson from Rotherham away, we must show we are better than this. I don’t like to compare these teams, but you can compare their home atmosphere. Since yesterday, we've looked forward to Plymouth, a difficult game, especially at home. They play some good football, a lot of freedom, a lot of fluidity. It's a real test for us after Wednesday."

DW: “You mention Huddersfield, we were clinical in this game. This is what we have to do and show our strengths. It’s about us and this is the case tomorrow.”
