Oi shlub - you're talking rubbish re ground capacity!

Just checked the ticketing site for this Sunday's match and all that are left are single seats or impaired/restricted views. If you look around on a match day other than a few season ticket holders not turning up the only gaps are in the impaired view seats in the corners and the away end.

The average attendance figures aren't helpful due to Covid and unless there were restrictions the figure for 2021/22 from Transfermarkt can't be correct.

When the new South Stand opened we sold many more season tickets and quickly filled it, meaning the new corner was built. Fulham have experienced similar with their new stand despite previously struggling to sell matches out.

At the end of the day the club wouldn't entertain it unless they thought they could at least breakeven from it anyway. They're smart people - they'll have done their research! They've got Legends involved to come up with the business case and it's their area of expertise!

Plus as others have said it's not just about extra capacity for standard seats. Hospitality is where the money is and you can guarantee any new stand development would come with significant premium corporate facilities. Plus opportunities to generate income on non-match days.

As Zoe mentioned in the interview there's also the question of player facilities, and no doubt media facilities too that need updating.

Don't get why City fans constantly have this little old Norwich mentality! As a self funding club we need to maximise income so expanding the stadium is crucial in my opinion! I'd much rather any investment from the Attanasio's is spent on infrastructure than wasted on fees for players like Rashica or Tzolis, or goes straight in to agents and players pockets!
