There is no doubt that W-P saw Dimi approaching.
There is no doubt that W-P decided to take advantage of the contact he saw coming
But W-P did not dive, he just put his body between Dimi & the ball & allowed momentum to do the rest

But - and this is the important factor - Dimi caused the problem by being wrong side & making contact.
Wihout contact would W-P's tumble have seen a pen given? Maybe, but probably not.

Holt & Huckerby & Hoolahan would have done EXACTLY the same thing as W-P.
