Back from the game…

I’m sure my thoughts are the same as everyone else’s, apologies, haven’t read down the board.

Summary: great day out, son’s first away game, what a blast.

Positives:

1. Great point - I thought Southampton looked very good. When we got our 4th I was expecting a defeat.
2. 4 goals - and 3 from midfield. look threatening generally, all different goal scorers, other chances created

Doubts:

1. Squad depth - first XI has plenty of potential, but not sure about depth
2. Midfield - we need a DCM, I love kenny, but he should be competing with Sara for the forward thinking CM role, he’s being given a job that isn’t his natural role

Negatives:

1. The ref’s decision for the second pen. I thought the ref was generally decent, let plenty of stuff go, but then gave a v soft one at the end. Consistency is what we crave and he monked that

2. Our goal kick routine. It was better second half, but first half it put us in the s**t repeatedly
