By an odd coincidence I have been watching the other Russell Martin

Former Toronto Blue Jay catcher at the Level of Excellence Ceremony for Jose Bautista.

Something that they do well in American (or in this case Canadian) sports is acknowledging the best former players. Before today's game there is a 30 minute ceremony celebrating one of the very best ever to play for the club. It included donations to charities he supported while in the city and they resigned him as a player for a one day contract so that he retired as a Blue Jay, a nice touch I thought.
