Wet.
Lion and Castle... very nice. Plenty of staff and windows make it much more airey.
I thought we looked very good - going one down though not perfect, but heads still up and crowd still up for it. Shame on those i see on here slagging the team off as soon as we coceded... goals happen, mistakes happen but surely you can see the bigger picture when we are playing well and vastly on top?
Thought everyone played well.
Think Gianollis has benefitted by being asked to play a more withdrawn role... and by having more options for the pass forward;
Stacey, just awesome and unbelievably quick! Most noticably to earn the corner that we got the winner from... he is like lightening! And loved the cynical take down to snuff out the dangerous breakaway;
Other standouts... obviously Rowe. Duffy, bar the one blemish was solid;
Kenny solid and tidy; Barnes excellent and vocal in sharing his experience with the younger players; Sara is going to be amazing this season... needs a bit of fitness I think.
Thought subs made were fine though changing so many risks losing the flow... but Sara was blowing out his arse just before subbing, so fair enough... and Rowe probably never had a full 90 at such intensity, so again fair enough.
Thought Fassnach looked tidy too... a couple of lovely floated crosses.
Altogether a great first day, wet but a lovely Nando;s picked up on the walk back to the car and enough traffic to listen to Cabbage Call in full before arriving home.
