Having splashed out my £25 for the preseason bundle, I feel I can give my two penn'orth

1. We might just have been playing weak attacks but it definitely feels more secure defence wise. The new lads have settled well 👍 I know Adrian ‘Cootie’ Coote made a bit of a fuss about kicking out from the back, but it seems to me it’s something we’ve worked on and I’m happy with the progress. (I like evidence that we’ve been working on a system - I was yearning for it all last year!)

2. I like the new lads! Everyone’s said it, but Ashley Barnes really IS the new Holty! He didn’t shine today but I’ve loved Kellen Fisher’s appearances.

3. When it works, I love the way we move the ball up the pitch now. I’d had a slight concern about actually scoring but today we had the ball in the net 4 times (lovely moves for the goals - albeit two of them offside!)

4. It feels less exciting and quixotic than under Daniel and more traditional and solid. I’ll probably be less charmed but it feels like this is what we may need.
