At risk of sounding like Greta

Am I the only one that sees the irony in large parts of the world literally burning up, while, for example, voters in Uxbridge voted Tory because their candidate was prepared to fight against a low emissions scheme in London.

This is us - humans - in a nutshell. Oh, global warming is terrible, we need to do something now, bloody politicians. But when it comes down to it, will we change anything about our lives? Will we vote for people that want to change anything? Nope. We won’t. We care. Just not that much about that. Priorities.

I totally get the cost and that life is hard right now. And we will make progress towards decarbonisation. But we’re going to do it so slowly that it’s going to make this summer look normal and moderate. Our kids and grandkids are going to have a very miserable time compared to us.
