You might be on to something but....

Maybe it does say how strong the PL is when a team that finished in the bottom 6 and averaged just over 1 point per game wins a major European trophy.

I can't be arsed to research it but I'm thinking not too many lower mid table teams in any major footballing market have won one of the top European competitions?
