i proper loved being in the desert right off

sand and s**t. some camels. the only time, apart from at sea, i've ever been somewhere where there was literally nothing around us at all but flat sand, zilch. 360 degree to the horizon of nothingness. just four of us for the best part of 12 days. marvelous.
