He made his offer probably in the knowledge that “genuine” Twitter accounts were lower than claimed.
He asked Twitter to confirm data which they refused, which (in his eyes) gave a reason to pull out of the deal.
If Twitter want to take him to court they will have to publicly confirm genuine user numbers - potentially confirming his argument.
The Twitter execs have been played like puppets.
