There's tonnes of it sloshing around in the country and many, many capable leaders who are not captains of industry.
Our current political structures don't encourage that talent through imo.
(my closest friend from middle school is currently and MP)
My gut feeling is that over the next twenty years we'll move away from 'halo' managers/directors/leaders into more team based stuff as the complexity will make it harder for a single leader to take the decisions.
There's also a lot of guff spoken about leadership - the lucky ones attributing their success to their approach, but all the ones with the same, who fail, being ignored when it's analysed.
