At the risk of reopening a can of worms

The patents on the systems where ball/players/boots are tagged up are significantly more accurate than the previous ones (and the tech is 10-15 years old and proved in American footy).

A significant step up from the video based ones.

However, my heart still sinks when people talk about 'toenail decisions' as you're still really only within 10cm accuracy at best.

Limitations with these systems being the location of the tracking chips and the lag on the 3d mapping, tho modern processing does improve that aspect.

Speedy decisions should remove most of the complaints. Which would be a real boon.
