This is where I've got to on many things

The people in the US - enough of them at least - seem to love it. They love guns, and dont care if schools get attacked. They love dropping bombs on people in places they couldn't point to on a map. They love corrupt politicians telling them all sorts of far-fetched nonsense. They think universal healthcare is a communist conspiracy and an open attack on their great nation. They love being just a little racist....mostly just a little bit...biased, not full on pillowcase on head. They love taking away women's reproductive rights, and will probably enjoy removing access to contraception and all sorts of rights of anyone that chooses not to live a standard heterosexual married life.

What can you do? This is how they want to live, and there's no persuading them otherwise.

I have long since learned to accept that I am in the minority in this country too on most things, though fortunately it's nowhere near as bad here as it is in the US (based of course on my sphere of reference).
