I suppose we need to live with this, in order to have Bairstow bashing it to all corners in the previous test. But what I don't get is the choice of when to play that way. On a sunny day on a broadly flat pitch where loads of runs have been scored, sure thing. At Headingley when its hooping about and you're 10 overs in, maybe not so much?
