Should have been lifted to 1.5% - too little too late

End result is rates will probably end up going higher than if the Bank of England had raised rates earlier.
Andrew Bailey is asleep at the wheel, he was hopeless at the FCA too.
Expect a base rate of 3% by this time next year - I am not joking.
