Why does he need club credentials if he’s been successful at this level?

Two tournaments and we’ve finished top four in both.

People are going to say that we have a team so good it is underachieving. People have been saying that my entire life (except for the occasional short gap here and there).

Look at the players we had available from late 90s to early 2010/. A multitude of highly successful club managers didn’t do half as well as Southgate has with those and over a duration of far more than 6 years. One euro semi in 96 and after that no further than QF in any tournament.

The man has been the most successful England manager in my lifetime and he’s six years in. Judge him in tournaments, not friendlies dressed up as a tournament for TV income.
