They’d actually be fine with a centre-lefty that delivered power.

Johnson, whatever he believes in, ain’t going to deliver them power so he will be managed out ahead of the next election (if they have any hope of winning, otherwise he’ll be left in situ so the new leader doesn’t have a loss on their CV)
