And his form with the bat has been great, so I can understand the pick.

I think his keeping is oversold tho, and I think Bairstow is underestimated (he has developed into an international class batsman/keeper all-rounder). Am not sold on Foakes' keeping being worth more than Bairstow's all round contribution (and also experience at this level).

Mainly I was really hoping Brooks would get a chance.

Am now hoping that Pope proves me wrong in the second innings.
