football supporters piss me off. Staying with family in West Midlands. Delivery driver comes to the door, broad Brummy accent wearing Liverpool shirt. Relation asks him if he goes to Anfield. “No” he says “Supported them for 12 years but never been”. “Going up to the parade tomorrow though”.
I suppose it shouldn’t trigger me but did some work at a company in a Lowestoft for a few weeks and I got loads of stick from so-called Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal “fans” for being Norwich. It included one woman who told me that her husband was a massive Chelsea fan but he used to be a Manchester United fan until he got fed up with them not winning anything! How can you even begin to explain what a football supporter really is?
