Glass ceiling

It’s impossible to deny that this season’s signings have been unsuccessful BUT we have little or no chance to survive in the premier league.
Forgetting the top 6 (money grabbers), virtually every other club has had ‘investment’ from their owners of £100m, as a bare minimum.
We can’t bring in established pl players on pl money, partly because we are unlikely to survive and those players will be put off by our self financing model.
Our biggest issue was the loss of Skipp, to protect our back 4, and the loss of Buendia and Cantwell to create, for different reasons. Webber was almost too successful in recruiting Skipp and Buendia and then being unable to repeat that success this season. At another club maybe he could have splashed the cash and replaced them, and that would have taken far more than our budget.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have the continuity that ultimately helped Brentford survive.
