Torn on the Webber interview

On the one hand, he does sometimes talk a bit of sense when you hear him speak, in contrast to many in football. You kind of thing yes I can see why he convinces people.

On the other hand I don't think he actually accepted any responsibility at all or showed any form of contrition for the mistakes he's made this season and some of the things he's said. Its either "the model" meaning we have to spread our money thinly, or covid or bad luck or the fact that the jump is just so big. It doesn't really make sense to me to say you can't fford to spend your money on 3 or 4 bigger signings because you can't afford to get it wrong when you've just spent in on 8 or 9 and got them all wrong.

I also don't think the fans and local media gave up or "went after them" early in the season as he seems to claim. Just can't quite seem to help getting those little digs in.

Some "faux" challenging questions from Piper, I think he knew they were coming.

Interested though in the announcements to come in the next 2-3 weeks that will "surprise and delight" us and show how the club is still growing.
