Betting companies aren’t spending millions on advertising and sponsorship (it seems like the majority of PL and Champs clubs have betting sponsors) if it didn’t mean their turnovers (and thus profits) were increasing accordingly. By extrapolation a proportion of that turnover is going to be punters who have or will be caused to have gambling addiction problems. The PL really is an odious parasite, completely reliant upon money from whatever disreputable source (oligarchs, murderous regimes, the gambling industry) to keep the snout-filled troughs fully filled.
