I don't dispute that. It's that one decision when it does affect it, though.

I think for the free kick one, as play was stopped, it would have been appropriate to look at *why* Lewis handled the ball (the shove from Kane) and wouldn't have led to a delay. They wouldn't have even had to go back to the off-side leading to it.

I don't think either of those decisions would have been given today, which is what leads me to think it's unfair. We lost out, but since then progress has been made. (Which doesn't help us, but then it never does, does it? 1985 and all that.)
