That's kind of my point...we are a good team, maybe too good for the championship

but we are playing Premier league teams and with players not suited to Smith's preferred style. Also we seemed to have horrendous luck at pivotal moments e.g. The COVID outbreak, that we didn't push hard enough to be rescheduled to the injuries of AO and AI just as we had a bit of momentum under Smith.

I know now it feels like we are utterly desperate as a team but look at the championship table. I am sure we are better than Huddersfield, Luton 'ex NCFC' town, Middlesbrough and Sheffield 'geriatrics' Utd and we wouldn't be outclassed by Forest or Bournemouth. So next season with a few tweaks won't be that bad, I feel.
