There was far more to farke

He developed young players into very valuable saleable assets (e.g. Cantwell under farke was worth, at one point, a lot). He had a style, he was popular with other clubs (handy for loans).
But mainly - as was obvious - he understood and was an integral part of the club and its character. It's a very difficult thing to achieve, and it's easily lost. Without him, at the moment, we feel like a rag bag collection of vaguely assembled people - club without a soul. It's that part that Smith seems to failed completely, so far.
