Answer. Yes, it’s completely right to ask these questions. No, it’s not right that managers and players can just focus on the football. Last few weeks have been a massive wake up call, and everyone needs to look at their choices in the light of world events. The signs have long been there. Corruption at UEFA, FIFA. Chelsea have used their dirty money to destabilise rivals, take their best players/managers/executives, going forward the show might well be on the other foot, but they have no right to complain. These questions will not go away. Tighter regulation and government intervention is now needed.
