I think that the core of the permanent squad will be OK,

looking at Villa and other teams under Smith, I expect Idah to be the focal point and some physical presence in the Midfield. I think we will see Dimi leave (its too rough for him), Rupp maybe given a short term contract, PP goes (we have never even tried to use his pace) and Aarons if someone in the PL is willing to punt on a tiny FB with little attacking output.
