The rule is fine

Only players interfering should be called offside, not any player anywhere. The current interpretation of that rule is bollocks though. Players who interfere with defenders without touching the ball are still interfering. If you interfere with the keeper without touching the ball they WILL give it, so why not interfering with defenders?
