the point is that the club was in healthy state when Webber arrived

the Championship titles were certainly not all down to him. He inherited Maddison, Godfrey, Murphys, Aarons, Lewis, Cantwell et al, as well as some good senior players who could be sold for reasonable money.

Of course he contributed to the promotions by bringing in Farke and adding Buendia and Pukki. But a lot of CEO's could oversee a promotion if they inherit £100m+ worth of young players.

The real test for Webber is making sure that when those players he inherited move on, that he uses their sales as a springboard to drive the club forward. Rather than this being the golden age in itself.
