medium white for standard issue toasters

thin sliced is obviously the devil's work

thick sliced doesn't toast properly in a toaster (though is preferred if toasting under a grill / fire where there is more manual control).

Thick white for a chip (& bacon) butty has more than enough structure to it.

Brown sliced bread for anything other than sandwiches that are made under the glare of S(/H/T)WMBO is just wrong.
